It was a very difficult choice but we explain it to you this way: all the finalists have beautiful packaging, all of a finesse and attention to detail that fill us with joy because finally more and more people understand the importance of a beautiful dress on an EVOO of the highest quality as yours.

Of “Orci” (Ceramic Jars) even if you see many now, I will never stop remembering the problem of the rubber cap that often stinks and the wood fungi that is used to close it that often does not hold and then in addition to let in air, and then speed up oxidation, lets out oil if not kept perfectly straight. 

That said, we still chose the double packaging of Grotte De Angelis because the label is extremely elegant, a very beautiful material even to the touch, has the anti-bite cap and there is in three formats. The rest of the packaging consists of beautiful creations designed for the wedding market (to be exploited more and more’) that include plate, cup, jar and white ceramic cutting board that, with a simple heart/ balloon, recalled us Banksy’s strong message for a world with more Peace. 

In the year of too many wars we liked to choose the not obvious lightness of Good and Love.

Won’t be the other finalists get hurt, we know that all the packaging chosen would have deserved to win, but now you know, there is only one  Leone, and the medalists do not match our idea of competition . We look forward to see you next year and may it be a wonderful season!
